Trombone Fundamentals: All State Solo Ensemble and Low Brass Tutoring Event
This trombone fundamentals event is for all levels, and age groups. Below is the format:
- High School All State 2021 – 2022 audition material for Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band
- Middle School All State 2021 – 2022 audition material for Band
- Selected solo repertoire to help with articulation, phrasing, and other technique essentials for High School, Middle School, and adults of all levels
Trombone Fundamentals Event: Michael Kris Bio
Who:
Michael Kris is a Teaching Professor at the University of North Carolina and he is also part of the teaching faculty at Duke University. An active performer, he is Bass Trombone with the Eastern Music Festival, Low Brass Mentor at the National Music Festival, Principal Trombone of the North Carolina Opera Orchestra, Carolina Ballet Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle. Mr. Kris is also an active soloist and clinician performing and teaching internationally. Also, he presented concerts in July at the prestigious Salzburg Festival, was a guest clinician in November at the Universität Mozarteum in Austria, and collaborated with faculty at Kings College, London for a London concert series in March.
