The purpose of this site is to provide teaching tips and resources to supplement one’s curriculum of study in jazz trombone. Much of the material has been through experience teaching and performing, and was previously not readily available in written format. Education regarding jazz trombone is still fairly new, though there are great resources available, and continues to evolve.
I have been performing and teaching full-time for 25 years, my background primarily in jazz trombone. I have been fortunate to have performed with nationally known names as The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Spinners, The Fifth Dimension, The Temptations, The Platters, and many local big bands and other performances.
